Introduction: Established in 1949, FPA India has over five decades of experience in the arena of social development and has helped millions of people living in urban and rural areas in fulfilling their aspirations for a better quality of life, through their interventions on reproductive health and family planning. FPA India strengthens a voluntary commitment to advocate for sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and Rights and, choices. It promotes access to SRH information and services related to family planning, safe abortions, HIV/AIDS and sexuality to poor, marginalised and vulnerable populations including young people.

Reason for hire:
FPAI seeks an experienced professional to serve as a Secretary General for their head office in Mumbai as the current Secretary General is retiring. The Secretary General is expected to provide leadership to the organization, plan and ensure the proper implementation of its programmes, oversee all financial, audit, legal and other statutory requirements which are applicable to the Association along with recruiting and mentoring the team members. He/she would be expected to represent FPAI externally, maintain liaison with the central and Regional Offices of the IPPF and other foreign organizations, Government and local bodies in programme planning and implementation.
