We have been retained by VILLAGINEER to recruit their Chief Executive Officer.
Introduction:
Villagineer which is a for-profit company (an informational on-line portal with offline operations) that accelerates product and service deployments and helps create a sustainable impact on low-income people at the bottom of the pyramid in India. In doing so, Villagineer works with a network of social entrepreneurs, Individual Champions, Government Champions and CSRs to discover demand, establish local support systems, and help scale the social innovations.
It is focused on social enterprises involved in the six key areas:
• Healthcare: Sufficient primary care facilities, innovative low cost medical
devices, tele-medicines etc.
• Water: Availability of clean drinking water at affordable price
• Power: Availability of energy (through alternative sources) at affordable prices
• Agriculture: Enhance agriculture produce, multi-crops, better rates for the produce,
less wastage, affordable equipment, innovative pesticides, etc.
• Education: Enhance quality of education, assessments and augment classroom
education through tele-education, online courses, etc.
• Livelihood (employment): Make people self-employed through training, micro-
finance or create long-term fulfilling employment opportunities.
